One realization that surprised me after my relationship ended was just how much of my energy had been dedicated to it.
Not because it was unhealthy.
Because I loved deeply.
Looking back, I don’t have regrets.
I have an incredible amount of gratitude for everything my relationship with Christal brought into my life.
The laughter.
The adventures.
The difficult conversations.
The heartbreak.
The growth.
Every moment shaped me into the person writing these words today.
Of course I’m sad it ended.
I genuinely wanted it to work.
But I’ve also come to appreciate something I recently read:
Don’t hope to find someone better than them. Hope to find someone better for you.
That sentence shifted something inside me.
Relationships aren’t competitions.
There isn’t a winner.
There isn’t a loser.
There are simply two people who choose one another for a season.
During that season, they help shape each other.
They witness each other’s growth.
They challenge one another.
They leave fingerprints on each other’s souls.
Then, sometimes, they continue writing their stories separately.
That doesn’t diminish what they shared.
If anything, it makes those moments even more meaningful.
Some people aren’t meant to stay forever.
Some people are meant to transform you.
And that’s enough.
Stay Humble , Stay Blessed
